A $25 deposit is required to become a member of Cape Fear Credit Union. Your credit union membership deposit gives you access to all of the products and services offered by the credit union, and makes you a member/owner with the right to vote at the annual meeting of Self-Help Credit Union.

Membership in the credit union is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the county, or counties, of operation, and their immediate family members regardless of where the family member lives. Membership is also open to businesses in the county, and Select Employee Groups (SEGs) of the credit union.  Membership is also open to anyone who is, or becomes, a member of the Center for Community Self-Help. As a member of Cape Fear Credit Union, you have access to all of the products and services offered by the credit union.
